A homepage that does goodHappyTabs is a fast, adorable, easy-to-use start page for your web browser. The bonus? It helps raise money for charity!
HappyTabs is currently available for Google Chrome. More browsers coming soon!
A Google search bar is located in the middle of your start page for easy access.
Add configurable shortcuts, so you can access your favorite sites quickly with a single click/tap.
Ads... that are good?
Sponsors pay HappyTabs to show ads on our start page. We take that money and donate it to shelters and other non-profits!
Ads can suck. We get it. Ours are designed to be effective while staying out of your way. We promise.
You'll recognize the clean simplicity of the search and shortcuts and it'll fit right into your existing flow.
Who We Are
We are a small group of developers, designers and marketers who have funded and built HappyTabs in our spare time. We want to help do something good with the powerful technologies we work with every day!
We believe that technology shouldn't be intrusive, but if leveraged correctly, can help millions of people (and pets!) all over the world. We aim to help you raise money for charity without changing your habits or breaking your budget.
The browser extensions are just the start! We're working on several tools and apps to help everyone do their part and raise money for charity easily by doing little things each and every day.

The first non-profits we've selected are just some local favorites from our team. However, we'll soon be opening it up to your suggestions, letting the community vote and pick where donations go!
We're just getting started, but pledge to make a minimum $25 donation each month while we grow. The more people use HappyTabs, the more we can donate!
You can view our full donation history here.
There are a couple of reasons:
1) Our organization is not classified as a non-profit, so the IRS limits our charitable contribution deductions to 50% of our Adjusted Gross Income. This means we'd pay taxes on donations higher than 50% of what we earn - which is money we think can be put to better use.
2) Our awesome team has funded HappyTabs out of their own pockets and spare time. We're normal working people with a passion project, so we'll use the extra funds to cover ongoing technology costs and (hopefully) help us recoup some of the startup costs!
Down the road, we plan to restructure payments so the money flows directly from the sponsors to the charities to avoid IRS restrictions - but we need to get ourselves set up first :)
